If your marketing plan for 2015 doesn’t include online video then you’re missing a crucial element in promoting your business.

Why video and why now more than ever?
1. Video is showing up more and more in places other than YouTube, including Instagram (where all the cool kids play) and LinkedIn. Creating short-form video content that you can use across platforms is vital. Consumers are more comfortable than ever watching content (think Netflix) across all devices whenever and wherever they happen to be.
2. The first place consumers go when searching for information is the Internet and websites that offer video are ranked higher than pages that don’t. And since YouTube is the second-largest search engine in the world, make sure you’re posting videos there.
3. Videos are more likely to be shared on social networks. If you find an innovative or funny way to get your message across using video, you could hit the jackpot and have your video go viral, which could bump your search ranking through the stratosphere.
