It’s that time of the year when the leaves are turning (and falling!), the temperature is dropping and the nights are getting longer. At the end of the month, spooky season will officially be upon us which means front lawns turned into graveyards, spider webs a-plenty and little goblins roaming the streets in search of sweet delights. Halloween is typically a time for children but there’s no reason why we can’t join in the fun, grown-up style, with a fabulous, seasonal dinner party for friends and family. Here is some inspiration to get you started!
All of us at DNA love our food and some of us are self-described foodies (hello Maria!). So it should come as no surprise we begin with a hauntingly delicious Halloween menu.
Let us begin with an appetizer that sets a devilish tone…deviled eggs with red bell pepper horns and wings. A cute and creepy turn on a classic favourite!

Moving on to the main course…mummy lasagna anyone? This is a seriously scary dish but one sure to entertain! Make your own or add your own embellishments to turn a store-bought lasagna into a freshly wrapped mummy with just a few simple toppings. Here’s the recipe…if you dare!

Oh such a ghastly ghost of a dessert! These white chocolate covered strawberries are easy and tasty. If you have little goblins in your home, they’ll love to help you make them.

And finally, it wouldn’t be a grown up party without brewing a festive, grown up cocktail. Check out this bewitchingly delicious drink, The Bat Cave, courtesy of the LCBO! Topped with a skewer of black olives it had us at hello!

With the menu in place we’ll leave you to select your costume for the Halloween bash (spoiler alert: this year’s most popular costumes include the Joker, unicorns, and Captain Marvel). Wishing you a ghoulishly delicious Halloween!
